Simon had had a diverse working experience spanning more than 15 years in the finance function across a number of industries and countries from Investment Banking in Singapore to Financial Controllership in both emerging markets like Vietnam and developed markets in Australia. His last 11 years have been spent working for Microsoft in a variety of roles and countries and he now holds the position as Financial Controller for the Commercial Enterprise business for Microsoft Australia. A formally trained Chartered accountant who now spends a lot of time assessing the role of technology and its disruptive implications for the Finance profession and what is the adaptation that needs to occur to keep the finance function relevant and valuable.
